LANSING – State Representative Mike Simpson (D-Jackson) teamed up with Eaton Rapids Police Chief Paul Malewski for the "Fill a Cop Car" food drive on Saturday, Dec. 8.

"I'd like to thank Chief Malewski for inviting me to be a part of this amazing event," Simpson said. "I was very touched and inspired by the generosity of the people in our community."

The event, held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Family Fair supermarket in Eaton Rapids, helped raised an estimated four tons of food for multiple food pantries across the area, including Hearts and Hands in Eaton Rapids. This is the second year in a row Chief Malewski has held the event.
