LANSING – State Representative Mike Simpson (D-Jackson) has been appointed to the Health Committee of the
National Conference of State Legislatures.
"Health care costs are spiraling out of control for our state's businesses and our working families alike, and it's
one of my priorities to work on beating back those costs so that more
Michigan residents can have access to quality health care," Simpson said.
"I am honored to have been asked to join this national committee, because exchanging ideas with lawmakers from around
the country on the important issue of health care will allow me to better serve the residents of our community."
Simpson is Vice-Chair of the House Health Policy Committee.
